Tim Atkin (MW) – 2016 South Africa Special Report

92 Points

Paul Roos Die Skoolhoof 2014 Stellenbosch (13.5%) Naturally fermented for a marathon 51 days, this comes from an exciting transformation project run by Tjuks Roos and named after his illustrious relative. It’s a subtle, complex blend of Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay – although the varieties are subservient to the style here – with pear, peach and oatmeal notes and zesty acidity.

Drink: 2016-19
